Orthodontic Assistant

- Smile Everyday Dentistry & Orthodontics 7500 NW 5th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317 We are looking for a friendly, experienced orthodontic dental assistant to join our multi specialty team!

Responsibilities but are not limited to; Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials Perform patient charting as instructed by the doctor Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room Prepare and set up treatment rooms for procedures Record patients’ medical and dental histories The ability to multitask without sacrificing the quality of their work. Take diagnostic x-rays and photos, take impressions, pour and fabricate Essix Perform orthodontic chair side assisting: braces adjustments, bandings, bondings, fixed retainers, fixed class correctors, etc Experience with itero scanning along with placement of Invisalign attachments and buttons, and submitting Invisalign profiles
