Orthodontic Dental Assistant Coral Orthodontics Coral Springs, FL 33076 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the orthodontist in various procedures and ensure a smooth workflow in the orthodontic clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the orthodontist during orthodontic procedures, including taking dental impressions, placing brackets and wires, and adjusting appliances
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment instructions
- Take dental records (X-rays, scanner)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient notes
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Previous experience working as an orthodontic/dental assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and instruments
- Proficiency in using dental software systems.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
