Overview
Main Street Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics of South Broward is hiring a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both staff and patients. •Candidates must have prior dental ortho assisting experience to be considered •

Hours:

Mon-Thurs 8:45 AM- 5:00 PM Fridays 8:00 AM- 1 PM (1st Ffriday of the month)

Position Overview:

As an Orthodontic Assistant you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting the doctor in orthodontic procedures, treatment planning, and patient education. You will help maintain a well-organized practice by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting in procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Clinical Support:

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.

Patient Care:

Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Radiography & Diagnostics:

Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Prior ortho assisting experience (min 2 years)
Strong organizational and problem solving-skills Minimum High School Diploma X-ray license in the state of FL
Must be able to travel to our sister office: Main Street Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics of Plantation (travel reimbursement included)
