Must be a team player.
- Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays using medical imaging software
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using OpenDental software
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant (preferred)
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and patient assessment
- Experience with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge with computer skills We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, be knowledgeable in dental anatomy, and possess excellent communication skills. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, providing chairside assistance, educating patients on oral hygiene, and performing dental receptionist duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is preferred but not required
