Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, detail-oriented, and able to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced, family-centered practice.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations by setting up necessary instruments and materials
• Assist the dentist during procedures, including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, and other treatments
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and infection control standards
• Record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent customer service throughout each visit
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate dental records
• Support front office tasks as needed, such as scheduling and patient communication

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or equivalent experience
• Current CPR certification
• X-ray certification (as required by state regulations)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
