Dental Assistant Chacon Orthodontics Westchase, FL 33626 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols. Take and record vital signs of patients as needed. Manage patient records using dental software systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Operate 3D scanners for imaging as required. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to uphold infection control standards. Qualifications Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology is preferred. Experience with computers. Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical concepts. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to demonstrate four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
