Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in managing patient comfort during procedures. Utilize dental software such as Open Dental for record keeping and scheduling.
