We are looking for a competent dental assistant who enjoys working as part of our team in creating an efficient and pleasant environment for patients. The applicant should be well-organized with great attention to detail and excellent customer service. Also, able to follow instructions and respect office regulations. If you are an outgoing dental assistant, our goal is to train you to become skilled in providing direct or indirect patient surgical care and able to make office procedures go as smooth as possible.
Position Summary:
Looking for an experienced full time oral surgery assistant who is a motivated team player, to join our busy practice that is expanding. Willing to train outgoing dental assistants looking to enter the wonderful specialty of oral surgery. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in anesthesia cases, multiple implant systems, as well as all areas of Oral Surgery. Must be willing to learn and adapt to electronic office, be motivated and have a positive attitude. If you are looking for a great place to work, please send your resume. Essential Responsibilities Greet patients and perform pre-surgical preparations Assist the oral surgeon during surgery, providing suction, monitoring instruments and swapping tools as necessary for surgeries and locals Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding healing and care Operate X-Ray equipment Disinfect, sterilize and store equipment after use Consults Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-Rays and other required certifications and registrations Maintains and updates annual CE requirements as specified by the state Ordering implant parts Drug log inventory Preparation for surgery one day in advance; IV bags, instrument placement, sutures, etc. Cleaning Post Op calls Consent forms Miscellaneous other duties as directed by supervisor
