Bilingual English and Spanish. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics and other dental treatments. Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols. Perform X-ray imaging as needed while adhering to safety standards and regulations. Document medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure a clean and organized workspace to promote a safe environment for both staff and patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus. Ability to perform basic administrative tasks related to patient documentation. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is desirable but not mandatory. Ability to assist in various dental procedures while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
