  • Assist the oral surgeon during oral surgery procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Provide patient education
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Schedule patient appointments Experience
  • Proficiency in software for appointment scheduling and record keeping
  • Knowledge of medical documentation practices and procedures
  • Understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
  • Experience with medical coding for insurance billing purposes
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray) preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
