Dental Assistant Endodontic Associates of the palm beaches West Palm Beach, FL 33401 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, patient interaction, and administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth operation of our office. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Perform dental radiography (X-rays) as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders, to optimize patient flow. Support the front desk with administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing patient inquiries when needed. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in various specialties, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with dental software such as Carestream dental and PBS Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry and understanding of general dental practices. Experience in managing medical records effectively while ensuring confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards patients of all ages. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous but not required.
