Position Overview We are currently hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant —but this is not your typical hiring process. This position begins with a short, paid working interview period (typically 1-2 days). It gives us the chance to see your skills and approach in real time—and it gives you the opportunity to evaluate our office, culture, and pace of work. If both sides feel it’s a great fit, we move forward together. No fluff. Just a transparent and mutual trial period to make sure we’re aligned. Qualifications and Expectations We’re looking for an experienced, highly skilled assistant who is confident in a surgical setting and works proactively to support the doctor and patient.

Minimum Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.

Patient Care:

Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Radiography & Diagnostics:

Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed) Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation) X-Ray certification Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended High school diploma or equivalent Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
