The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality care to our patients. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. A strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential for success in this position. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental, including medical and dental histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when required. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Proficiency in Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is beneficial. Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is an advantage. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
