Responsibilities Prepare teeth for the placement of brackets and bands Prepare and secure orthodontic wires Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care Motivate patients to achieve the very best results from orthodontic treatment Serve as key communication link between the patient and the orthodontist Make patients feel comfortable, at ease and welcome to the office by engaging patient and / or parent in conversation Be professional and courteous at all times to patients, visitors and / or co-workers, treating them with dignity and respect at all times Answer patient / parent questions, if appropriate, or refer them to the Orthodontist or another staff member who can assist them Complete accurate notes in patient records as required Sterilize, set up, and prepare orthodontic equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines Maintain clean, neat work area; restock supplies as needed Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, and maintain safe and effective working habits; report any unsafe tools or procedures Maintain confidentiality of any patient information according to Practice Privacy Practices and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines Maintain great attendance, arrive on time, and be prepared to perform job functions daily What We Offer Competitive pay Additional annual performance-based financial bonus Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) and 401(k) Matching Financial literacy resources and support Paid Holidays Paid vacation (PTO) and Wellness time Discounts on treatment for yourself and family members Local office and company-wide social events and team building activities Fun, engaging, and collaborative team atmosphere Requirements / Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required) 1+ years of orthodontic / dental experience (preferred) Bilingual in Spanish required Orthodontic / Dental industry experience is helpful, but not required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Great customer service and outstanding written and communication skills with professional and courteous High energy with engaging personality Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to support the office team Well-groomed and appropriate professional appearance Support office community and sponsorship events outside of office Reliable form of transportation Participate in morning huddle, patient chart review, and routine office meetings Keep area clean and neat Willingness to learn, adapt, and be a team player Desire to make the day fun for team members and patients alike!
