The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a sterile environment. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for procedures. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care. Manage patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and follow-up communications. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Qualifications Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures is essential. Experience or knowledge in general dentistry. Familiarity with dental software open dental is a plus Ability to perform medical imaging tasks effectively. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients of all ages. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to take vital signs and assist in basic medical assessments.
