In your role as a pediatric dental assistant, you will work closely with pediatric dentists to provide high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and supportive environment. Your primary focus will be to assist in various dental procedures, ensuring that our young patients feel comfortable and safe during their visits. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed, adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient history and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support the overall workflow of the dental office by maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Perform required maintenance to keep all dental equipment in optimal condition. Skills Georgia Xray and Expanded Duties Certificates, Eaglesoft dental software and pediatric dental experience are valued but on the job training and credentialing are available for the candidates who best fit our practice. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children and their families, providing reassurance and support during treatments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients and colleagues alike.
