The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in dental terminology and procedures. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming patient visits and handling cancellations. Perform administrative duties such as managing patient files, processing insurance claims, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies. Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge: Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures. Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred. Knowledge of medical documentation practices is beneficial. Experience with general dentistry practices, including familiarity with software such as Epic or Eaglesoft is a plus. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
