The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Sterilize instruments and maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office’s calendar effectively. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing medical records. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Proficient in dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to general dentistry practices. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes. Understanding of medical coding for insurance processing. Ability to implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality patient care.
