Assist the Dentists chairside Welcomes patients Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed Instrument sterilization according to regulations Maintains accurate patient records Lab tasks as instructed Provide post-operative care instructions Maintain clean and stocked operatories
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant training/school certification 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience required Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Experience with digital software Excellent interpersonal skills Explains procedures clearly to patients Listens to patient concerns and relays them to the dentist Attention to Detail Ensures instruments are properly sterilized Records patient information accurately Compassion & Patience Helps anxious or nervous patients feel at ease Provides emotional support, especially to children or those with dental fears Team Player Works closely with the dentist, hygienist, and front office Jumps in to help wherever needed Good Manual Dexterity Handles small tools efficiently Assists during procedures with precision Organized & Proactive Keeps exam rooms clean and well-stocked Prepares trays and materials ahead of time Knows how to pack cord and take impressions with a scanner and with impression material. Can make a temp crown. Takes efficient and diagnostic X-rays Good at multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment. Understands and can do all OSHA protocols
