As an expanded duty dental assistant responsibilities include:
• Assist dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take quality dental radiographs
• Perform duties as it relates to EDDA certification
• Educate patients on oral hygiene instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
