Dental Assistant Bippo’s Place for Smiles Algiers, LA 70114 We are looking for a trained dental assistant to join us. Must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn/work and be dependable. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, perform basic administrative and dental tasks allowing the doctor to focus on patient care. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. Our patients expect the BEST! Dental assisting certification, EDDA certification, and/or bilingual is a plus. Must truly enjoy working with children. //www.cultureindex.com/c/F6BB26 Responsibilities Welcome patients and their parents to the treatment area Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort Perform thorough prophy and coronal polishing Maintain accurate patient records and take quality xrays Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Keep the treatment areas clean and well-stocked Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills – Bilingual is a plus Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; certificate from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (EDDA)
