Dental Assistant Off The Trace Dental 2130 Gause Boulevard West, Slidell, LA 70460 As a Dental Assistant at Off The Trace Dental, you will be working alongside a team of experienced dental professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. You will assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensure the office runs smoothly, and provide excellent care to patients. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and excited about becoming a valued part of our team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures (fillings, cleanings, crowns, extractions, etc.). Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment. Take and process digital X-rays as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Ensure that the office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Provide excellent patient care by educating patients on oral hygiene and treatment procedures. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, managing patient flow, and answering phone calls. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant certification preferred, but not required). No prior dental experience is necessary; we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong interest in learning about dental assisting and patient care. Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable. A friendly, compassionate demeanor with patients.
