Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while following HIPAA regulations. Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry practices. Uphold cleanliness standards in the dental clinic to promote a safe environment for both staff and patients. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification is required Familiarity with dental systems, procedures, and terminology is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential to ensure patient confidentiality.
