Experienced Dental Assistant Haven Dental Care Mandeville, LA 70471 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals by providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, infection control protocols, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and restorative work. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a comfortable environment for young patients. Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient workflow. Skills Proficient in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control measures within a dental clinic setting.
