Dental Assistant Seaport Family Dentistry Lynn, MA 01902 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in using dental software such as Fuse, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up with patients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to adhere to health and safety regulations. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, particularly in Prosthodontics or Pediatric dentistry. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology is essential. Proficiency in using Fuse or similar dental management software. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and clinic cleanliness. Certification or training as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
