The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including scheduling and confirming appointments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Monitor patients’ vital signs during procedures when necessary. Support prosthodontics and general dentistry tasks as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant required. Knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with Eagle Soft software or similar electronic health record systems is a plus. Strong understanding of dental procedures, including prosthodontics and general dentistry practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
