Will be required to fill in at our second location in Lowell as needed. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, team-oriented person to expand our team. Some of the duties you can expect in this position include, but are not limited to, assisting the surgeon with local anesthesia and IV sedation surgeries, educate patients on pre-op and post-op instructions, review patient health history, provide diagnostic information through x-rays, take surgical guide impressions, sterilize instruments, maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA infection control policies. We are looking for a candidate who is outgoing, friendly, detailed orientated & excited to learn new skills

Qualifications:

Possess the mandatory certifications, licensure or registrations as required by the state such as Mass. Dental Assistant License and Radiology Certification Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Strong verbal skills Positive team approach to patient care Experience in Oral Surgery is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate (on the job training sponsorship available for specific candidates) . Duties:

Provides technical assistance and support for Oral Surgeon during examinations and procedures. Under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, provides basic direct care to patients. Prepares patients and instruments and treatment materials for procedures. Obtains, measures, and records vital signs. Obtains radiographic images and dental impressions. Seat and greet patients openly and warmly, demonstrate empathy Answer phone calls related to pre and post operative inquiries Assists clinician during examinations including passing instruments and materials, placing topical gel and/or anesthetic cream; may remove sutures. After procedure, provides patients/parents with general information and instruction. Cleans and sterilizes room and equipment.
