Days Evenings Saturdays Private Family Dentistry Practice Pan Dental Care of Melrose 985 Main Street, Melrose, MA 02176 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical coding, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics. A familiarity with 3D scanners and X-ray systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. Prepare and organize treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient appointments. Take and develop X-rays as required while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and vital signs. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and billing processes using dental software systems. Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the clinic. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding is essential. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and endodontic procedures is advantageous. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and ability to take vital signs is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
