Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator (dual role) to join our pediatric dental practice. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk and the back clinic while providing exceptional customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Dental Assistant:
Assist the dentist during surgeries and procedures. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Take and process dental X-rays and assist with sterilization protocols. Provide patient education and ensure comfort during procedures.
Front Desk:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish. Manage appointment scheduling, including confirmations and reminders. Handle patient intake, insurance verification, and billing processes. Maintain patient records and manage the office’s daily operations with efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and dental terminology is essential. Dental radiation certificate required (or willingness to obtain) Massachusetts dental assisting license required (or willingness to obtain) Experience with Curve Hero software or similar dental software is highly desirable. Understanding of pediatric dentistry practices is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
