Essential Functions

• Assists dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Records treatment information in patient records.
• Exposes dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
• Gives patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
• Collects and records medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Provides postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Orders dental supplies and maintains dental equipment inventory.
• Fabricates temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions. Education
  Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Dental Assistant required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
