Description Summary:

Under general supervision, this position provides comprehensive clinical, administrative, and staff support within a full-range dental services operation. Responsibilities include assisting with dental and radiography procedures, preparing and maintaining dental equipment and supplies in accordance with established protocols, procedures, policies, and standards, and coordinating day-to-day patient administration, records management, and office support activities. Candidates may start without certification; on-site training will be provided, and the hospital will reimburse for Radiography and Dental Assistant Certification upon passing. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, and is not temporary.

Requirements Education, Training or Certifications Required:

High school diploma
CPR Certification and/or preferred
Certification in Dental Assisting is not necessary. We will train the right candidate with a high school diploma.

Experience Required:

Physical Demands:

Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises;
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling average-weight objects up to 15-20 pounds, assisting with patients and standing and/or walking for most of the day.

Environment:

Will work with blood or blood borne pathogens and will require OSHA training;
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of personal protective equipment.
