Dental Assistant Waterville Dental Arts 325 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville, ME 04901 Join our team! We are a growing practice and are looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to join our team! We offer competitive pay, paid holidays, sick days, vacation time, and CE/CPR allowance. Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! Duties Include:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Take and record patients’ vital signs
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Skills:
  • Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and document findings
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the dental team and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking patients’ vital signs, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining accurate patient records. To excel in this role, you should have an understanding of dental assisting techniques and procedures, as well as the ability to perform patient assessments and document findings. Proficiency in using dental practice management systems is a plus. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial for providing exceptional patient care. Additionally, knowledge of infection control protocols is necessary to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
