Dental Assistant Confidential 110 Guthrie Drive, Southaven, MS 38671 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including experience with Eaglesoft software. Monitor and record vital signs when necessary, particularly for pediatric patients. Uphold aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic or general dentistry setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures, including prosthodontics, is highly desirable. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within healthcare is beneficial. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is advantageous but not mandatory.
