• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as mixing materials and taking impressions
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records “`Requirements“`
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• X-ray certification
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures
• Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping
• Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs
• Familiarity with dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.

Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, providing post-procedure instructions to patients, and maintaining patient records. To excel in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited dental assisting program, x-ray certification, knowledge of infection control protocols, proficiency in medical documentation, and the ability to perform patient assessments. Familiarity with dental software systems like Eaglesoft and knowledge of medical terminology and coding are also essential.
