Dental Assistant Dowdy Dental Clinic 1417 Trailwood Dr, Greenville, MS 38701 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including endodontics and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and record vital signs, medical documentation, and patient histories accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Manage patient records using Epic software, ensuring all medical documentation is up to date. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic in compliance with health regulations. Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and provide comfort during treatments. Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and vital signs recording. Experience in general dentistry, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, or pediatrics is a plus. Proficient in using dental software systems such as Epic is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with patients and team members. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
