Job Summary The Dental Assistant II is a vital member of the dental healthcare team who specializes in providing oral care and assistance to children. This role is to support pediatric dentists in delivering dental treatments and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients. Our work week is Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments.
• Take and develop dental x-rays and pictures.
• Make dental impressions.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Assist with pediatric dental procedures.
• Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs.
• Stock clinic/units
• Schedule appointments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a dental assistant program or relevant certification is required.
• X-ray certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as Dolphin.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
