The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and the ability to assist orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatment. Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, adjusting wires, and taking impressions. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care of orthodontic appliances. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient follow-ups as needed. Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phones, checking in patients, and handling insurance verifications. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with medical imaging procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic. Skills Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics. Familiarity with dental clinic operations, including knowledge of systems like Eaglesoft. Understanding of anatomy relevant to orthodontics and prosthodontics. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments.
