The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for dentistry and a commitment to enhancing patient experiences. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment. Take X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. Document patient information accurately in medical records, including treatment plans and progress notes. Provide education to patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations within the practice. Bilingual preferred but not a must. Skills Proficiency in medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate patient records. Experience in dental assisting, particularly in an orthodontic setting, is highly desirable. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Knowledge of general dentistry principles to support various dental treatments. Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures. Strong assisting skills to support orthodontists effectively during treatments. Proficient in using X-ray equipment and interpreting imaging results. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
