The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional care to our patients. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and help maintain a welcoming environment in our dental office. A strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records for patients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental models. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, making young patients feel comfortable during their visits. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries. Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental software for managing medical records is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial. Experience in endodontics or pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in using dental equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners is desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
