Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Being a team player is necessary!
Duties:
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Perform vital signs assessments and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and medical coding. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience:
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred (3 years); we welcome candidates eager to learn more. Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft and Open Dental, is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations is essential. Experience with X-ray technology and taking vital signs is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
