The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing age-appropriate care and communication. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality service delivery. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures, including endodontics, is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental clinic setting is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft is preferred. Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
