Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Dental Office Raleigh, NC 27609 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform medical imaging as required. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Must be organized, detail oriented, have a positive attitude. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring all materials are stocked and readily available. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in general dentistry and prosthodontics. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is advantageous. Understanding of infection control protocols and practices within a clinical setting. Ability to perform basic medical imaging techniques safely and effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental office setting is required.
