Your Career What You’ll Do:
Prepare treatment rooms for pediatric patients with care, attention to comfort, and age-appropriate communication Sterilize instruments, set up necessary equipment (including child-friendly x-ray units), and assist with nitrous oxide sedation as permitted by certification Provide chairside assistance to pediatric dentists and hygienists, ensuring little ones feel safe and supported throughout every procedure Comfort and engage young patients with a cheerful demeanor and gentle approach to build trust and ease dental anxiety Take accurate and timely x-rays in accordance with NC x-ray certification Educate patients and parents with clear post-op instructions and oral hygiene tips tailored for children Polish teeth and administer N2O based on your level of certification and comfort Greet families warmly, manage appointments, handle consent forms, and keep documentation accurate and up-to-date Maintain a clean and sterile environment in full compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards Collaborate with your team and support business leaders and doctors as needed
What We’re Looking For:
A Dental Assistant II (DA II) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with pediatric experience or a love for working with children A caring, patient-focused attitude with a heart for helping children feel at ease Evening and some weekend availability required Strong organizational and multitasking skills A team player who thrives in a joyful, kid-centered culture Certification in radiology, coronal polishing, and nitrous oxide (where applicable) Ready to join a pediatric practice where your energy and dedication can truly make a difference in a child’s life?
