The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records, ensuring all medical information is accurate and up-to-date in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental records management. Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively while following established protocols. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is an advantage but not mandatory.
