The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using Dentrix software. Support pediatric dentistry needs with patience and understanding. Perform basic medical coding for insurance purposes when necessary. Stay updated on HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Proficiency in using Itero scanners and other dental technology is required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
