Dental Assistant Whippany Dental Design Whippany, NJ 07981 Come join our team! An additional full-time dental assistant is needed at our friendly, family oriented, general and cosmetic dental office in Whippany. Days for hire are Monday through Thursday with flexibility, if needed. The ideal candidate will have chairside experience as an assistant, however, more important is a good work ethic and positive attitude. I am willing to train the right candidate. Patient care and communication are key. We pride ourselves in providing quality care in a warm and friendly environment. The doctor goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable and needs a second assistant who shares the same commitment and quality to care. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist chairside and occasionally help with hygiene turnover Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Skills Experience as dental assistant (>1yr) preferred but not required X-Ray certification Experience with digital scanner (iTero) is a plus Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Additional certification considered but not required (e.g. EFDA)
