The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, proficiency with dental software systems, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and restorative work. Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Manage patient appointments and maintain an organized schedule using Dentrix or similar dental software systems. Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Support front office operations as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries. Assist with pediatric patients to ensure their comfort and cooperation during visits. Utilize 3D scanners for impressions and other diagnostic purposes when required. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding is a plus. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages are crucial for success in this role.
