The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients. Manage medical records accurately, including patient histories and treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric patients with compassion and understanding during their visits. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the practice. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices is essential. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric dentistry settings. Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
