The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety. Assist with medical coding for insurance claims when required. Help educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to improve office efficiency and patient satisfaction. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications: Knowledge of infection control practices specific to dental settings. Familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous. Understanding of prosthodontics is preferred but not mandatory. Certification or training in dental assisting is required. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
