Dental Assistant Dr Lesley Rosenthal, D.D.S, P.C New York, NY 10017 Previous dental assistant experience (5yrs minimum) Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and workflow Familiarity with dental software (Curve, Schick, SoftDent or similar) is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment Dental Assisting Certification is preferred but not required Provide chairside assistance during general, cosmetic, and restorative and surgical dental procedures Assistant hygienists e.g. perio charting, taking x-rays, etc. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict infection control protocols Take digital radiographs (X-rays) safely and efficiently Maintain accurate patient records using dental software Monitor and manage dental supply inventory to ensure adequate stock and timely reordering of materials Pour models Maintain a professional, welcoming, and comfortable environment for all patients Support office operations by organizing supplies and maintaining cleanliness Canidate must be responsible, punctual, well organized and be willing to work as a team with other staff members
